Dated Clothes
Many women assume that if the clothes still fit, it is alright to wear them. What they don't consider is that they may look dated. Hemlines maybe too shoert or too long - the current trend for skirts is below knee or at knee length. Opt for clothes that look current becos nowadays employers look for creativity in their employees. There's no convincing someone u're creative if u look dated.
Visible Panty Lines
Always be aware of what ur undies are doing beneath ur clothes. If ur undies can be seen, the likelihood is that u'll be thought of as sloppy.
While many women don't wear granny panties under their trousers, their undies can still be seen as the trend is pants that are body-skimming around the hips in the lightweight fabrics. Go for thongs if u're in pants - anything else can be seen under pants, even tanga or bikini cuts. The tip here is simple - look at ur backside in the mirror before leaving the house.
Price tags on the soles of shoes
U may be in a pair of expensive shoes, but having the price tag still on makes them & u - look cheap. Always remove the price sticker, or foreva be thought of as a person who doesn't pay attention to details. "I forgot" or "I didn't notice" aren't good excuses.
Don't wear all black to work
Those with not enough colours in their wardrobe might be perceived as being unadventurous. Also, dark colours tend to bring the energy level of those around you down.
Use dark colours as a staple in the wardrobe, but always add a burst of colour, be it in the form of top under a dark jacket, or in a bold accessory. Turquoises, soft pinks, purples or even orange-red pieces are all the range.
Remember the Hem
The rule for Hemlines and heels is: The wider the hem, the lower the heel. Don't pair wide leg trousers with stilettos - It's simply not click. One wouldn't wear a wide, bohemian tiered skirt with stilettos, but rather with ballerina flats.
Alway hem trousers if they're too long - don't let them get caught in the backs of ur shoes, it look sloppy.
For jackets, make sure the hem doesn't end at the widest part of the hips - its broadens the hips. And make sure sleeve lengths aren't the same as the jacket's hem and it creates one line that emphasizes the hips.
Wear just a touch of make-up
Those who go into work bare-faced maybe perceived as being school girl-fresh, but very junior. Wear light powder, and colour in ur lip with a lip pencil before applying gloss on top.
The idea is to create a pretty, stained lip. Add blush for some colour. Conversely, those who wear too much make-up migth be perceived as insecure, so apply with a light hand.
